Liberia Green Energy, Inc. (LGE)

Liberia Green Energy, Inc. (LGE), the project development arm of Global Green Energy & Power Corporation Limited (GGEP), is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) spearheading one of Liberia’s most significant renewable energy initiatives. LGE is developing the 805 MW hydro-solar hybrid cascade on the St. John River, a first-of-its-kind project that combines large-scale hydropower with utility-scale solar PV.

By integrating hydropower with solar pv, LGE ensures reliable, dispatchable clean energy that balances seasonal variability and enhances grid stability. These projects are designed not only to strengthen Liberia’s energy security but also to enable regional power trade through interconnections with the West African Power Pool (WAPP).

As an IPP, LGE is committed to delivering bankable, world-class projects that align with Liberia’s national electrification goals and support the region’s transition toward sustainable energy.

Liberia Green Power, Inc. (LGP)

Liberia Green Power, Inc. (LGP), a subsidiary of Global Green Energy & Power Corporation Limited (GGEP), is spearheading the establishment of Liberia’s first large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) module assembly facility. With a designed production capacity of 1 GW annually, this landmark project represents a transformative step in positioning Liberia as a clean energy manufacturing hub for West Africa.

Strategically located within the Monrovia Port Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the facility is designed to leverage automation, precision engineering, and international quality standards. The plant will produce advanced PV modules—including Mono PERC and TOPCon technologies—compatible with the latest cell sizes (166mm, 182mm, and 210mm), ensuring global competitiveness and future-proof manufacturing capabilities.

By localizing solar module production, LGP will:

  • Strengthen Energy Independence – Supporting Liberia’s clean energy transition with domestically manufactured modules.
  • Create Industrial Growth – Position Liberia as a regional hub for solar technology exports across West Africa.
  • Generate Employment & Skills – Building a skilled local workforce in advanced renewable energy manufacturing.
  • Support Regional Integration – Facilitating faster, more affordable deployment of solar projects across ECOWAS countries.

Through this initiative, LGP is not only building a manufacturing facility but also laying the foundation for sustainable industrial development and regional energy transformation.
